Sunshine Tales is back by popular demand after a sell-out run last summer, and this time, it’s bigger, bolder, and bursting with energy! If you're a fan of Chickenshed’s regular Tales from the Shed performances you will LOVE these summer infused shows.

Join Blurgh and all your favourite Tales characters at a summer camp adventure with stunning dancing, interactive fun and magical moments. Don’t miss out - it’s a holiday for everyone!

Planet Play is our magical world of sensory learning, wonder and exploration for babies and toddlers ages 0-3yrs

These fun immersive sessions encourage young children to develop and explore the world around them through song, music and movement. 

Created by our Performances to Children’s team, Planet Play encourages play and early communication development.  Research shows that regularly singing songs and rhymes boosts vocabulary and listening skills, essential for reading, writing and communication.

Tales from the Shed are vibrant, interactive theatre shows perfect for young children.  They are informal, lively and amazingly engaging as the performers and audiences share the same space. 

Every week brings a brand-new theme, making each performance a unique adventure! 

Chickenshed’s diverse team brings stories to life with much-loved characters like Can-Can the beautiful bird, laid-back Lion Down, and the hilarious Thing That Goes Blurgh! These stories aren't just entertaining - they're designed to inspire creativity, promote emotional expression, and foster social interaction among children.

Tales BIG Day Out offers a variety of BIG workshops, BIG activities and even BIGGER shows throughout the building and garden. In this BIG Day Out the whole building becomes your playground, with fun round every corner.

There is something for everyone. Expect music, dancing, stories, puppet-making and arts and crafts - all delivered in Tales' signature inclusive style, with a splash of silliness!

A BIG Day Out comes with BIG cravings, and we've got you covered at our cafe and an exciting food truck.

Darnaby’s Space Race is a joyful, imaginative journey where anything can happen.
It’s packed with laughter, energy and plenty of unexpected twists, 

It’s Barnaby’s favourite day of the school year - Sports Day.

But when he wakes up with a cold, it looks like he’ll miss it completely… until something extraordinary happens. A spaceship lands on his roof.

Suddenly, Barnaby’s adventure begins - taking him from his bedroom to the doctor’s surgery, to the circus and all the way into outer space.

Originally performed at the Edinburgh Festival, this much-loved Chickenshed show returns for a new generation.

It’s time to blast off.
