Learn ballet from professional dance tutors in a friendly, safe environment. This class is an introduction to ballet and dancing in a playful and fun environment.  
 
During the term each group will work on a dance to perform as part of an informal sharing for parents at the end of term.

Ballet 2-4 | Yorkshire Dance

Parents and Tots is a fun movement session to build your little one’s confidence to crawl, move, toddle and dance in a safe environment. This session is for families with babies and young children aged 0-4 (older siblings and non-crawlers are very welcome). 

In each class the dance tutors lead the group through playful movement activities using a variety of props, music and obstacles to stimulate the senses. Parents and Tots is a great place to meet other young families, share ideas, experiences and memories together.

Parents & Tots 0-4 | Yorkshire Dance

A fun-filled session with rhythm, tapping and play for ages 4 to 7. This energetic and upbeat class builds musicality and co-ordination allowing kids to learn tap skills in a creative and lively environment.

Rhythm & Tap 4-7 | Yorkshire Dance

Learn ballet from professional dance tutors in a friendly, safe environment. 
 
During the term each group will work on a dance to perform as part of an informal sharing for parents at the end of term.  Achieve basic ballet skills in a creative fun environment – fall in love with dancing.

Ballet 4-6 | Yorkshire Dance

A creative class for ages 5 to 7 fusing Pop music to get your body moving! We use funky Street with a twist of other Dance styles such as Jazz.

Creative Pop 5-7 | Yorkshire Dance

A fun and dynamic class combining breakdance and streetdance. Includes hip hop – old skool (popping, locking, waving) and nu skool (krump, house and more) – a high energy, positively focused way into the funkiest moves on the street.

Street Styles 5-7 | Yorkshire Dance

Learn ballet from professional dance tutors in a friendly, safe environment. Build on technique without the pressure of exams in this creative session.

Street Styles 8-11 | Yorkshire Dance

TEMPO are a performance group for ages 12-16 based at Yorkshire Dance, learning streetdance and breakdance skills to take out onto the streets and stages of Yorkshire. 

All TEMPO members receive a free t-shirt and across the term work on a dance to perform as part of an informal sharing for parents as well as additional opportunities to perform at venues across Leeds and West Yorkshire. In 2024 TEMPO performed at Youth Dance Showcase FRESH as well as in Trinity Shopping Centre.
