Yoga presented in a child's language can help counter the stress experienced by little ones living in a hurry-up world. Children derive enormous benefits from yoga. Physically, it enhances their flexibility, strength, coordination, and body awareness. In addition, their concentration and sense of calmness and relaxation improves. Doing yoga, children exercise, play, connect more deeply with the inner self, and develop an intimate relationship with the natural world that surrounds them. I am a qualified kindergarten teacher and I have worked in various early year settings for the past 8 years, setting up and running my own kindergarten for the past two. Having practised yoga myself for about 9 years and seeing the benefits that this practice had brought into my life I decided to train as a children’s yoga and mindfulness teacher (The Collins and Barth School of Yoga in Bristol and Special Yoga in London). I hold a full Paediatric First Aid Certificate, and enhanced DBS check and various child protection and safeguarding training.
