I’m the founder of Tumble Bees . I first started classes in February 2013, after becoming qualified through British Gymnastics as a Pre-School Coach. I designed 16 fun themes that children relate to and parents adore. New gymnastics skills are taught each week linked to the theme and all the songs match the theme, but beware the songs are very catchy! I now have 2 great ladies running classes in Kirklees & Calder and Airedale & Wharfedale as class demand has been high and we wanted to reach a wider audience. We treat everyone as individuals and love aiding children's development.
I started my Tumble Bees adventure with my eldest daughter in 2015 when she was 4 months old and haven’t left since! After leaving university with my teaching qualification, I went into Nursery day care leading the Early years curriculum. I then took the plunge back into school with a teaching role so I could work part time to look after my children. I have always specialised in Early years education as I feel it is the most important time of a child’s journey through life. Seeing my daughters develop and grow through gymnastics made me want to bring these important skills to others.
I started running public and nursery classes in a number of locations across Kirklees & Calderdale in January 2017. It’s lovely to meet so many children and their adults, to get to know them and see them improve. Before I became a Tumble Bees coach I was an Early Years and Key Stage 1 teacher for 8 years. I also have a background in gymnastics and trampolining. I started out in gymnastics at a verWhen I’m not coachiny early age, before switching to trampolining and competing at National Level. In my spare time I like to sing with my choir and go for days out with my family.
