TinyTalk

At TinyTalk babies learn to use sign language to communicate with you before they are able to talk, in a fun and interactive way.

The first half of class is spent signing to popular nursery rhymes with props and instruments. This also involves a game, signed story or sensory activity.

The second half of class is social time with toys and books for the babies and tea, coffee and biscuits for parents. It is a great time to have a chat with other parents you know and to also make some new friends!

We absolutely love and recommend this class. I started taking my daughter to this class when she was 7 months old and she is now coming up to 20 months next week. The group is fun and everybody is welcoming. My daughter is now up to 51 signs and have definitely found that it is helped with communication between us. I found that people where sceptical when I said I was doing baby signing with my daughter especially as she didn’t have hearing problems but these people are now amazed when my daughter signs what she wants and I’m able to understand and respond accordingly. I highly recommend this class. I will be continuing with the toddler class as soon as it becomes available.

Me and my little one love going to TinyTalk and Aareka is fab! The structure of the class is great with new themed signs for the week, a sensory activity, playtime, snack for baby and nice hot coffee and biccie for Mummy! I only wish we started sooner!

My children love Tiny Talk with Aareka. My eldest isn't technically part of the class but is always welcomed along whenever he has an INSET day and has really enjoyed learning some new songs and signs. My youngest has just been awarded her certificate for her first signs and we've really enjoyed going along each week. The mix of singing, signing and sensory activities is perfect, and us adults get tea, coffee, juice and biscuits at the end too! I'll be so sad to leave when my maternity leave is up but will hopefully still be able to pop in every now and then :-)
