Description

Based in the heart of Kemptown, our seniors and advancers drama groups are excellent places to learn and create whilst at the same time producing fantastic original theatre and film.

It’s the perfect place to make new friends, grow in confidence and have great fun in producing high quality performances for family and friends.

We have three different classes to choose from:
Seniors - Mondays 17.30 - 19.30
Seniors - Tuesdays 16.00 - 18.00
Advancers - Tuesdays 18.00 - 20.00

Aaron Tonks is the group director and has been directing with us for years. He is a wonderfully experienced, fun and professionally minded director and actor.

What families are saying

Daniel Staniforth

I have been consistently impressed by the standards of show that this group puts on. The professionalism they are able to inculcate into their students and the end result are both excellent! The children really believe in what they're doing and to be having great fun while doing it, too!

My daughter has been part of the Young Actors Group for nearly 5 years and loves it. From her first session where she was shy and nervous I have seen her grow in confidence with careful nurturing and amazing understanding from her tutor, Holly. She now feels part of the family and especially enjoys the term where the group learn a short play and build up to a special show which they perform on stage at the end.

My daughter has been attending The Young Actors Group Junior Group on Saturdays with Luke for the past 16 months now and still looks forward to going. She has gained so much from this group not just from professional drama tuition but also with her own self development. For a child, such as herself, who is anxious and has suffered panic attacks, this group has more than been a support to her wellbeing. Having access to drama has allowed her vocalisation of thoughts and feelings in real time, exploration of empathy and self-awareness. Having access to a trained professional has also provided her with breathing techniques, vocal projection and an understanding of body language to build confidence.
