Description

Join us on 1 November 2024 as we welcome one of the first all female fighter crews in the world – Helen Seymour, the RAF’s first female typhoon pilot, and Rosie Stevenson, a former frontline Tornado navigator. They will be sharing their experiences of life in the RAF.

Helen and Rosie will talk through how they came to join the RAF, sharing experiences from both an individual and a crew’s perspective in fascinating talk taking place in our Hangar 3 Lecture Theatre at 1.00pm.

This will contain rarely heard insights into the life on the front line. How did they work so well under pressure, and how did they learn to operate so effectively in such a high-performance culture? How do they hope to inspire future generations?

Their talk in the lecture theatre will answer these questions and more.
Time – 1.00pm

Then after their talk Rosie and Helen will move to Hangar 4 to answer questions from the public beside the Tornado, the aircraft they flew in together.

Date: Friday 1st November 2024
Time – 2:30pm

Admission to this talk and the Q&A sessions are free of charge.
Recommended age – 8+
