Activities for Parents
Baby & Toddler Groups
The Parent Hood has not run any activities for over two months. We’re trying to get an up-to-date schedule.
I’m Jess! Originally from Lincoln but moved Haywards Heath after studying and living in London. I am mummy to one little tinker and I’m a part time ballet/dance teacher. After giving birth I felt completely overwhelmed and out of my depth living in a new area, husband working full-time, and not having any friends and only a few family members local. . Then an olive branch, in the form of a social message came, and before I knew it, I was part of an incredible group of mummies, socialising, nurturing and watching out for each other.
I am one third of The Parent Hood Gang. Mush (the 'dating app' for mums!) inspired me to gather parents together after I hosted the Haywards Heath MUMDAY back in December 2018. After the success of the event, Pie and I thought, hang on, we’re onto something. We NEED this. And so, The (Parent) Hood was born. . When I’m not Parent Hooding, I am a full-time English teacher and mother to one small son, plus a handful of animals. . My boy's recently been diagnosed with Type One Diabetes, which is a rollercoaster at the moment, and I would be bereft without my mum gang!
I’m a Paediatric Nurse, with experience in cardiac ITU/HDU and complex care. Originally from London, my husband and I moved down 3.5 years ago to Haywards Heath. Who knew making adult friends would be so incredibly hard?! I remember when we first relocated I felt so lonely and isolated. I was incredibly blessed when I met what now are some of my closest friends via NCT. For me, forming friendships is an integral part of The Parent Hood. A place to find and form new friendships without the cliques and awkwardness.
