Stagecoach Performing Arts

At Stagecoach we teach our students so much more than how to sing, dance and act. We help them blossom into well-rounded individuals, ready to embrace life and all its opportunities. With more than 28 years experience in teaching the performing arts, we understand how to get the best out of our young performers. We delight in seeing our students have fun, make friends, learn new skills and discover hidden talents.

Meet the Team

Danni Bentley
Singing Teacher

Danni has been singing professionally since she was 14, since which time thousands of people have heard her perform at shows across the UK. Show has completed several national tours and critics describe her voice as: effortless, powerhouse, pure beauty. Danni has been teaching singing privately for the last 7 years and numerous children have found their voice (and confidence) under her mentoring. We're very lucky to have her on-board!!

Kate Brewster
Early Stages Teacher

Kate first trod the boards age 9, playing the aptly-named Kate in Annie! After graduating with a 2:1 BA (Hons) in Music Theatre, she's gone on to play roles such as Girl Bear/Mrs T in Avenue Q, Joanne in RENT and Ilse in Spring Awakening. A multi-instrumentalist, Kate has played for local shows for the last 10 years. During the week Kate is a secondary school English teacher, and is very excited to work with the Early Stages and taking them on adventures to Theatreland every weekend! A big Disney fan, she enjoys pretending she's an adult and trying to control her naughty Labrador, Jasper!

Laura Dorsett
Early Stages Assistant

Laura is a former Stagecoach student, who loved every aspect of learning the skills Stagecoach provides. Starting ballet aged 2, Laura went on to achieve ITDA gold - gold bar II exams in a range of different dance styles. As her love for performing developed, she studied Drama at GCSE and became directly involved in the Bedford Pantomimes for the past three years. Her most recent role is playing Anna in Spring Awakening. As a self-declared Disney princess, Laura enjoys helping introduce the Early Stages to the excitement of theatre world.

Leanne Lyndsey White
Drama Teacher

Leanne’s most recent appearances on stage include Rita in Made In Dagenham, Cathy in The Last Five Years, Maureen in Rent and Amanda in Private Lives. Her credits as a Director include Spring Awakening, Rent, and musically-directing Little Shop Of Horrors. Leanne is a Stagecoach veteran, having previously taught both Early Stages and Singing and has also recently toured South-East England with an interactive, anti-bullying play for schools. She is a proud member of Hufflepuff House, and on her days off enjoys pizza, cat videos and posting her favourite memes.

Richard Chatterley

Richard is a passionate believer in the benefits Stagecoach training provides children and is one of our biggest advocates for Creative Courage for Life. Having been plucked from the audience to first appear on stage at the London Palladium in the musical Barnum back in 1982, he went on to tread the boards throughout his formative years and attributes much of his success in adult life to the confidence and skills learnt during this time. His wife is also a Principal and both children are students - a true Stagecoach family who have seen first-hand the positive impact of Stagecoach training.
