Brunel's SS Great Britain is one of the most important historic ships in the world. When she was launched in 1843 she was called 'the greatest experiment since the Creation'.
Nowadays, the ship is an interactive museum which represents the amazing sights, sounds and even smells of the vessel throughout its lifetime. Visitors can climb aboard and experience life as a Victorian passenger bound for anywhere, from New York to Melbourne.
The Dockyard Museum and Brunel Institute help to complete the picture of what life was like onboard, and visitors can even Go Aloft and climb the rigging!
