Stage One classes are suitable for babies from around 5 months up to approx. 14 months and you can start at any time between these ages. Babies use all kinds of signs and gestures as a natural part of learning to talk. Encouraging your baby with signs like milk, more, change nappy or tired will help your baby communicate. Our classes follow the same structure every week, which is something that the babies soon learn to recognise and respond to very positively.

Sing and Sign Stage 1 Mill Rd

Music, Singing, Movement, Props and signing! During our interactive toddler classes, parents will learn well over even more signs to go home and use with your toddler during everyday life.  In Stage Two we explore lots of early learning concepts colours, potty/toilet, foods and even more animals as well as an introduction to phonics which supports those new words!

Babes is for newborns up to around 5 months of age at the start of term. This is a lovely, gentle music and sensory class with a strong emphasis on communication. The course introduces the basics of the Sing and Sign approach for those who are keen to sign with their babies. We also show you lovely adaptations of familiar songs to enjoy with your baby while you are face to face, during nappy changing, bath time, bedtime and during gentle playtime.

Hi I'm Katharine and I run the Sing and Sign classes in and around Cambridge with the help of my lovely teachers, Jen & Terri.

Developed with the help of Speech and Language experts and launched in January 2001, the Sing and Sign programme has since taught tens of thousands of parents across the UK how to sign with their babies and encourage amazing early communication.

We run face-to-face classes in Stapleford, Cottenham, Cambridge and Histon. We also have an online course available for anyone unable to attend an in-person class.
