Meet the Team

Alice Watson
Lead Instructor

Alice is co founder and director of School of Larks as well as one of the main teachers. Alongside teaching Alice has been freelance aerial performer for 8 years working for companies such as Above and Beyond, Citrus Arts and Burnt Out Theatre. Alice co founded the contemporary circus company CirqOn the Seam in 2016 with Oceane Sunniva. Alice is a self taught aerial artist and teacher, she did most of her training in Seville, Spain where she was a founding member and teacher at 'Espacio Vacio' and 'Kataploff' and the professional circus training space 'La Nave' in Seville Spain.

Claudia Weston
Lead Instructor

Claudia is co-founder and director of School of Larks as well as one of the main teachers. A trained actress and yoga teacher, Claudia was inspired to pursue aerial after attending a family circus class. Claudia still remembers the exact moment her eyes fell on the trapeze. From then on, the trapeze became a delightful obsession and plans for aerial classes in Stroud formed.

Miranda Cawkwell
Lead Instructor

Miranda is a hand to hand flyer and hand balancer. She grew up performing and competing in acrobatic gymnastics. Miranda trained at Aircraft Circus and the National Centre for Circus Arts in London. Miranda also works as a physiotherapist.

Ruby Debonnaire
Lead Instructor

Ruby is a trained yoga and circus skills teacher. She trained at both The National Centre for Circus Arts in London and Circomedia in Bristol. She completed a years apprenticeship with School of Larks and has been working with us ever since.
