The Hoop Awards celebrate the people and organisers that go beyond to entertain, educate and inspire your children.
I just wanted to say a massive thank you to Laura for the great music class at Amelia’s Birthday on Saturday. All the children loved it and the parents commented it was fabulous entertainment.
My daughter loves her Rhythm Time sessions! Perfect mix of music and sensory fun.
Started the young baby class when little one was almost 4months and straight away she enjoyed it. It was great to have a class where she actually gets to interact with other babies to help develop social skills. The songs and activities have been really easy to do at home as well and my little one just loves the "Hide your toes/knees" song. We enjoyed the YBC so much we have booked on to next session as well.
I graduated from the RSAMD in 2010 and whilst I was there, I founded the award winning choir Les Sirenes. I was also a member of the National Youth Choir of Scotland for 10 years (and toured Chicago, Hungary and Germany!). I finished my Masters in Historical Performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire in 2012, and whilst I was in London, I taught at a Junior School in Tower Hamlets. I moved back to Glasgow and am so excited to share the fantastic benefits of music with you and your little ones! Just call me and I can book you into one of my fun-filled classes. See you there!
I have been singing and playing in choirs and bands for as long as I can remember. Piano and euphonium (a baby tuba) are my instruments. I graduated from the University of Strathclyde with a BA in Applied Music before going on to work for some great organisations including the National Youth Choir of Scotland and Big Noise in Raploch. I also taught piano and music theory for 10 years. Nothing, though, beats the fun of working with the smiley souls who come along to Rhythm Time classes each week as we learn, sing and play together.
Hi! I'm Lucy and I feel so lucky to be involved with Rhythm Time. I am currently a 3rd year student studying Commercial Music at University of West of Scotland. Singing is my main instrument, however, I also play Piano, Guitar, Ukulele, Clarinet and Saxophone. I have been part of many bands and choirs since a young age and I am very passionate to encourage others to enjoy and benefit from music from an early age. I am very interested in teaching and music therapy therefore I am so delighted to be a part of the Rhythm Time team and look forward to meeting you all!
Music has always been my first love, without it I wouldn't be who I am today. I have been a performer from a very early age, I honed in on my Musical Theatre career at the age of 17 and worked very hard to achieve my Masters in Performance (RCS) at the tender age of 21. Upon achieving this I performed and worked in London and Europe which I loved. Music education unites us in many ways and what better way to start than in the early years, sharing precious memories with family and building everlasting friendships. I can't wait to get started on this new adventure at Rhythm Time.
