The Regent’s Canal runs through the heart of Islington, Shoreditch and the East End. For 200 years, the canal has provided work, relaxation and an adventure playground to generations of local people. In the 19th century, it was an artery for commerce, London, England wide and international trade, flowing down to the Limehouse basin.
