Description

Pop School & Stage Academy (PSSA)
Triple threat performing arts training for stage and screen. Students are split into age groups to rotate round three hours of dancing, singing and acting classes taught by leading industry professionals. Each term is themed around new performance projects ensuring our students gain experience on stage and screen.

Every school year we produce a Music Video, a Christmas Showcase and a professionally staged Summer production in in a local theatre. Autumn Term is our Technique Term and classes have a strong focus on developing skills in all subjects. Every child takes ownership in learning and performing their individual monologue in Drama. In Dance and Singing students strut their stuff and star in a Pop Video, enjoy our annual Halloween Workshop week and the term finishes with a Christmas Showcase for parents.

In Spring & Summer Term we get the rights to perform a major musical in a local theatre and children get chance to tread the boards and experience performing in a big theatre.

My son loved the trial class he attended at PSSA. He came home full of excitement and desperate to go again. We will definitely be coming back :)

My son is 7 and has been doing pssa since he was 4. He loves literally everything about it. I love the fact it is such a mixed group of kids, all having loads of fun, really relaxed while learning lots along the way. The teachers are great, especially Amelia - they are great with the kids, really encouraging without being pushy, and able to bring out the best in them all. They do a big annual show and a smaller Xmas showcase, west end workshops, holiday camps, lamda exams (as an extra) - so a huge range of things to get stuck into, and like I said, always with so much heart and enthusiasm. The teachers work their socks off to make sure the kids just think it's all fun!

My daughter started at 3 years old, left to join Stagecoach and hated it, so rejoined PSSA. She’s now 16 years old and loves it so much she’s hoping to stay as long as they’ll allow. It has helped immensely with her confidence and the staff are all so lovely!
