Pregnancy and Baby Yoga

Pregnancy Yoga is for women from 14 weeks to birth to stay fit and healthy, make friends, have a laugh, and learn together what keeps us going from week to week.

We have gentle movements, special breath to help with anxiety and prepare for birth. There is relaxation every week for mum and bump, this is often the favourite part of the session for many mums :-)

All fitness levels are welcome. Most women haven't done yoga before. For those that have, be prepared that it is tailored for pregnancy, so gentler than usual yoga lessons.

pregnancy yoga - Going to pregnancy yoga gave me that much needed hour of rest and 'me time' during a busy week. It taught me how to relax, connect with my baby and breathing and positioning techniques to use during labour. It definatley helped me have more relaxed and comfortable labour. Most of all it gave me the opportunity to meet other expectant mums who I saw again at baby yoga and still in touch with now. Marion is a great teacher - so knowledgable and gave a fun and relaxed feel to the class.

Baby yoga - I started going to the classes when my baby was 6 weeks old and went until she turned 1, the class is a great mixture of yoga and informal support for new mums - Marion created a lovely environment that was almost like an oasis of calm during the middle of what was often a tiring day. It give me the opportunity to learn some moves that I could do to help post birth whilst entertaining my little girl at the same time, she particularly enjoyed the flying and frog songs!! We even managed the 10Mins of relaxation time at the end of the class(most of the time!) And seeing the other new mums each week also helped just to chat about feeding and sleeping tips! At times it felt like a mission to get out of the house but I was always glad that I came ????
