The Pauline Quirke Academy is a weekend performing arts school for 4-18 year olds. PQA’s core modules in Comedy & Drama, Musical Theatre and Film & Television teach a comprehensive range of skills, which are useful for everyday life, not just a career in the performing arts, whilst masterclasses allow students to experience more specialist lessons in areas like stage combat, beat boxing, street dance and magic.

Meet the Team

Alison Chambers

As a professional theatre performer, writer and director I have always been passionate about providing opportunities for young people to experience and participate in the performing arts. I am therefore thrilled to be opening PQA Worcester where I believe young people will have access to the most enriching and progressive performing arts sessions in the county. Pauline's nurturing ethos: 'Be yourself. Be amazing', will be at the heart of everything we seek to achieve with the youngsters who join us on Saturday mornings.

Musical Theatre

Emma attained a First Class BA (Hons) Degree in Dance Practice and Performance in 2014. Upon graduating, she was awarded the Dance Department Prize for the Best Overall Degree Classification. Since 2010, Emma has worked as a dance artist and teacher for community dance groups, primary schools and dance schools in the West Midlands, Staffordshire, and Warwickshire areas. She has danced for both amateur and semi-professional dance companies, and has performed at prestigious venues.

He is a cameraman, editor and director and has been teaching film craft and performing for camera for over 7 years to young students and adults at colleges and theatres across the Midlands. Film & Television Assistant

I have been fascinated by films and filmmaking ever since my dad showed me the original Star Wars when I was four years old. My interest led me to attend Syracuse University's summer college film program in New York state last year, which opened the door to participation in the British Film Institute's regional film academy at Rural Media in Hereford. I have worked on several short films in a variety of roles, including cinematographer, sound recordist, director and editor, and my aim is to study Film Production at university in the United States.
