Description

Join us on the second Sunday of every month for a free social walk led by our volunteers.

Everyone is welcome to join us on a monthly social walk led by our volunteers. We'll have a different walk on offer, with varying lengths and difficulty. Children must be accompanied by an adult and dogs must be kept on a short lead. These social walks will take place on the second Sunday of every month.

Sunday 9 June

This mixed gradient, circular walk will take you via smelthouses. See views across Nidderdale, Fellbeck and over the Vale of York towards the White Horse at Kelburn.

This route is approximately 5 miles long and will last around 2 and a half hours, finishing at the refreshment kiosk for a well earned hot drink.

This walk is perfect if you're visiting via the 825 Eastern Dales Bus. Visit the 'Getting Here' section on Brimham Rocks' home page to find the timetable.

This route has a mixture of uneven gravel paths, narrow, muddy and boggy sections. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a short lead.

Keep an eye on this page as we will update it with details about each months walk. The social walk in July will be on Sunday 14.

This event is free, but normal admission charges apply for the venue.

Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.

Please meet your guide at 10:30am at the refreshment kiosk, a 10 minute walk from the car park. The walk will start and end here.

Please wear suitable footwear and clothing for the outdoors and the weather. We recommend walking boots and waterproof clothing.

This walk takes you on uneven terrain and though some narrow and muddy sections. The route is not suitable for prams, wheelchairs or mobility scooters.

This is a free guided walk. Normal car parking charges apply. National Trust members park for free when you scan your membership card. Due to adverse weather, walks may be cancelled at short notice. Please check with a member of the team on the day to see if the walk is running. Alternatively you can ring the office on 01423 780688.
