Description

Let Captain Peter Hall guide you through a brief and enlightening history of lighthouses around the coast.

Have you ever wondered who looks after the major lighthouses around England, Wales and the Channel Islands? And how did they come to be there in the first place?

Join us for a 45 minute talk on the Trinity House Story by Captain Peter Hall. Followed by an optional guided tour of Souter Lighthouse with our volunteer guides.

Call [email protected]

Suitable for age 16+

The talk takes place in Whitburn Coastal Conservation Centre, near the lighthouse car park.

The centre is on one level and wheelchair accessible. Parts of the lighthouse tour are accessible/level; there are 76 steps to the top of the lighthouse tower.
