Description

Step back in time and join Reverend John T. Becher, founder of The Workhouse, on a tour of Southwell.

Follow Becher on an historical 2.5 mile walking tour of Southwell as he highlights his connections with the town as a churchman, magistrate and social reformer during a period of great change.

Please meet the tour guide in the visitor car park.

Please dress for the weather and wear footwear suitable for walking on pavements and footpaths.

The walk includes uneven footpaths and a hill. The whole walk takes approximately 2 hours. If you'd like more accessibility details please call us on 01636 817260

The walk is free but there is an admission charge to visit The Workhouse & Infirmary. Please arrive on time to begin the walk as a group. The walk may be cancelled due to adverse weather.
