Description

Local musicians make a visit to Washington Old Hall extra special.

Find local musical duos Carol & Bryan and Julie & William in the hall, bringing the historic space to life with a live performance.

Expect music from 1400 to 1750: medieval, Renaissance and Baroque, by composers from England and western Europe. Plus some tunes with a local flavour, such as The Lambton Worm.

This event is free, but normal admission charges apply for the venue.

Head upstairs in the hall.

Stairs to the first floor.

Washington Old Hall

A multi-media exhibition to celebrate Washington’s past, both real and mythical, marking 60 years as a New Town.

To celebrate Washington 60, Jessica Andrews, local-born writer and prize-winning author of Saltwater, leads a free one-day creative writing workshop.

Innovative and rip-roaring outdoor theatre for all ages.

Join us for a free guided walk to Penshaw Monument, to appreciate the changes each season brings.
