I am the founder of Nahdz adventures, a blog which inspires and encourages parents and families. I am passionate about parents being able to be their child's first teachers and during the early years this is though play. I started a Sensory Sunday segment on my blog. Many parents showed interest and began to join in by doing an activity with their child using the prompt I provided. Sensory play is important in the early years because it stimulates children's senses, it encourages them to play, create, ingestive and explore, it develops languages and it is helps with calming children down.

We had two 4 years olds a 3 year old and my son who is 2 and they all throughly enjoyed the sensory session. They had a fantastic time playing together in each tray filled with various natural objects and dried foods. It was great to see them using their imagination and extending each others learning through this sensory play session. Cannot wait for the next one!
I was finally able to get the chance to bring me niece and nephew down to #SensorySundayWithNahdz and honestly they loved every minute of it. Every activity was accessible for younger babies and the atmosphere felt like home. Will definitely be back!
I absolutely loved both events I went too, paint and slurp was amazing; a step by step guide from a professional artist! Each step the artist would come around and see how everyone was doing as well as assist if we needed help!! I enjoyed sharing a canvas to paint on with my daughter and she loved it too she was so proud of the way her painting came out... We also went a sensory session, My daughter loved getting her hands wet and playing with the toys, every box as its own theme and different textures, my daughter keeps asking when we’re going to another session. I would defo recommend!!!
