Nature & Outdoor Fun
My favourite time is being out in the woodland helping others to experience the natural world in a new way. We believe that it is extremely important for us all to learn more about the natural world around us and to look after the amazing resources we have on our doorstep as well as across the globe.
Growing up in he north of Scotland, I spent lots of time exploring the outdoors and playing on the beach. Working as a warden on a nature reserve in Oxfordshire in my twenties made me realise the importance of getting children out in nature as much as possible. And now, I am lucky enough to spend time with children exploring the woods and wilderness and having lots of fun while we do it.
I grew up in a city, but with a garden brimming with wildlife and spent many a happy hour catching the newts teeming in our pond. I’m still a bit of a newt freak and one of the best bits of my job is being able to pond dip or do a mini-beast hunt with children and share some amazing facts about the wildlife we find.
