Mother Hen

Our son attends a weekly Mother Hen drama adventure class and he loves it. "I'd give it 5 out of 5 stars. It's really good! Especially the funny parts like the dragon that only says bananas and breathes out bananas instead of fire! Imagine the sound: squelch squelch squish squish" He tells us of the explorations he has with expression, language, play and interaction with others. The hour's class often seems to end with a lying meditation which is so lovely to see and there seems to be a lovely connection between all the children of different ages when they come out. We also booked Mother Hen for his 7th birthday party in our garden and it was very special. Our son was able to feel central to the drama adventure that was created around his interests, his home, and a cuddly toy character in his life, and in this way to feel special without being made centre of attention amongst his friends in a way that might have been embarrassing or harder for him with his shyness. It was a beautiful celebration and again like the classes ended in a lovely quiet reflection where Mother Hen helped all the children turn any happy feelings they had and gratitudes from the party into magical wishes to call on at any time. Mother Hen sessions seem to offer children joyful exploration, connection, play, and expression connected with something deeper and magical!

Great fun class full of adventure and laughter. Alice has a great energy. Highly recommend!

My daughter has absolutely adored the Mother Hen sessions. She has been totally enthralled by the magic of the storytelling and been full of stories of her own as a result. Totally brilliant and very highly recommended!
