4 - 8 years, 6 - 10 years + other ages
MSDA is a dance and performing arts school based mainly at West Faversham Community Centre. We want children and young people to develop a love of dance, so our classes are fun and engaging. We work towards exams and shows and include ballet, tap, hip hop, street, acro and preschool classes in our week.
Music, Dance & Drama
Emily trained as a professional dancer at Performers College in Essex. She has a Trinity diploma in dance theatre and is a qualified ISTD dance teacher in DDE ballet, tap and modern. Emily has also qualified in Acrobatic Arts Module 1 , Ariel silks, hoop, trapese and rope and pre-school Acro as well as Progressive Ballet Technique. Emily loves interacting with children, and dancing and party games are what she loves doing, so she becomes one of them, enjoying the fun as much as the children do.
Jodie-Anne has been dancing since the age of 2 and completed her dance training at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance at the age of 17. She then moved away from Leeds to start dancing professionally where she experienced a wide variety of shows. Jodie then decided to settle in Kent and start her own Performing Arts Academy that has been established for 16 years now. She has also enjoyed teaching in different Schools and Performing Arts Academies across Kent and is thrilled to be joining Miss Sophie’s Dance Academy
Naomi graduated from Guildford School of Acting's Musical Theatre degree course in August 2013. Naomi qualified as a dance teacher under the IDTA in March 2010 but has been teaching regularly since the age of 16 for many different dance and stage schools. Naomi has been teaching for MSDA since 2014, starting the hip hop and musical theatre classes as well as teaching most of the Tippy Toes classes at various times.
Sophie trained full time at ‘The Centre Performing Arts College’ in London on a Teaching and Performance course graduating after 3 years with a Diploma in Theatre Performance and Associates in ISTD Tap & Modern. Since teaching she has also become a member of the I.D.T.A in Ballet, Tap & Modern. After teaching for over 10 years for various local Dance, Theatre, Primary and Secondary schools, Sophie had the opportunity to start Tippy Toes the pre-school Ballet Classes. Sophie has experience in Performing in a number of professional events including Millennium Dome, Best Parties Ever, and more.
