What to expect:​

Mini Picassos 9 - 11yrs art sessions are fun and educational!​

The combination of longer project durations, exposure to different artistic forms, and the continued emphasis on discussion and experimentation contributes to a comprehensive and enjoyable art education for this age group.

Projects typically span 4-6 weeks, providing a more in-depth exploration of artistic concepts and allowing for the completion of more complex artworks. Projects for this age group involve art forms such as painting on canvas, pastel studies, sculptures, or prints.

​A diverse range of art media is introduced, allowing children to experiment with different materials and tools. This hands-on experience helps them develop their skills and confidence.

​Teachers actively encourage students to ask questions and make comments, fostering a collaborative and interactive learning environment.

Each week, our little artists embark on a creative adventure inspired by both classic and modern artists. In our Main Project, toddlers get to enjoy hands-on activities like finger painting, sensory play, and simpler crafts perfect for tiny hands. Our cut and stick activities, colouring, and drawing sessions are tailored to spark their imagination and fine motor skills.

This class is suitable for those who
- Enjoy learning new art skills and would like to gain creative confidence using a range of media.
- Would like tuition in small, intimate groups
- Create work over time suitable for a Portfolio.
- Looking to apply for an Art Scholarship

This is a formal drawing & painting course open to all children aged from 9 - 13yrs. The course consists of drawing & painting - Sculpture, oils, watercolours, pencils & pastels are just a few mediums we explore. We will look at drawing techniques: measuring for drawing accuracy, shading & composition. 

This course is suitable for students looking to create art in smaller, intimate groups; with the option of more 1:1 tuition.

​Our Portfolio courses are ideal for students looking to apply for scholarships, with the view of building a portfolio for submission - though the class is open all. We also recommend this class for those participating in the art entrance exam for schools. Over the years we have enjoyed excellent success rates with our students being offered art places at Holland Park School and City of London Girls & Northbridge House.

Portfolio class for ages 9 - 13yrs classes

Thursdays 17:15 - 18:45 | 13 - 16 yrs CLASS FULL

Our Fine Art 90 minute classes are is aimed at young artists ages between 12 - 16 years. Those who enjoy drawing from life, have the ability to concentrate for longer periods of time and have a real thirst for art.

This is a structured class, exploring a range of artists throughout the course. We focus on traditional fine art materials and artistic techniques. We introduce mature discussion and focus on skills such as, drawing, painting and sculpture, building confidence and developing ability.

Throughout the course, students explore a range of artists. This approach exposes them to diverse styles, influences, and art movements, contributing to a more comprehensive understanding of fine art.

​Mini Picassos teachers encourage deeper exploration of artistic concepts, art history, and critical thinking. We welcome students to analyse and articulate their thoughts about art.

​These classes aim to build confidence and develop artistic abilities. This involves not only honing technical skills but also fostering a sense of creative expression and individual style.

Mini Picassos is an independent and very yellow studio, in the heart of North West London. Sharing our passions for art to the community at 8 Station Terrace, NW10 5RT for the last decade. 

We are an art school for toddlers, children and adults who are excited about art, artists and being creative. We offer a wide range of art courses, host birthday parties & run great holiday workshops. Whether you're 15 months or 103 years old, you'll find something new to learn at our studio.

Our classes emphasise traditional drawing and painting skills, immersing students in the rich world of renowned artists. We encourage saying goodbye to screen time and improve children's concentration and artistic abilities through traditional mediums like drawing, painting, and sculpting.
