Messy Little IMPS

Messy Little Learners is a fun and investigative messy play class for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers. Each week we explore a new theme through the messy play investigation stations. Little hands and toes experience a range of textures, colours, smells and tastes all of which are made from non toxic, taste safe materials. The class has been designed and is led by a primary school teacher. Activities and investigation stations have been created with early years development and education principles in mind. At Messy Little learners there is lots of learning, lots of fun and lots of mess!

My 2 year old son has always loved water and rice play but been a bit hesitant to get too messy with sticky and muddy play, so it has been great to see him gain confidence each week. He can't wait to get stuck in each week and is always reluctant to leave! A different theme each week keeps it fun for all. Highly recommend!

My 22 month old son loves these classes. As soon as we arrive he can’t wait to get stuck in. Each week holds new and exciting stations and a different theme. This term each week has been a different book which we have loved as we can carry on the learning at home, reading the story together and recalling his experiences in the class with Daddy. My son loves to get messy and this is a perfect opportunity! Definitely bring spare clothes!! It is obvious how much care and planning goes into each session with areas of the early years foundation stage evident throughout. From opportunities to make early marks in different materials to science experiments supporting beginning to understand cause and effect. Jo is also fantastic. With a warm Welcome for each family at the door, a quick hello song (which my son now sings at the top of his lungs at home, complete with actions!) and overview of what is on offer during the session and spending time with the children and parents as they explore. We couldn’t ask for more. I only wish we had started to class sooner!! 🙂

My 2 year old was a little precious about getting dirty and stuck in. She spent the first session wiping her hands on my trousers every 5 minutes. It's only taken a couple of weeks and she is now a confident, messy little learner!
