Low Fell Library Association is completely run and managed by a team of around 45 local volunteers who take shifts on the Library desk, provide activities, manage the association and the library, raise funds etc. As well as core library services of book lending and provision of public computers we have become a local community hub – a safe and free space for local people to drop in and meet up, with a range of activities such as Rhymetime, a book group, a Scrabble club, "knit & knatter" group, and a bridge club. In addition we host children’s craft activities during the school holidays.
