Meet the Team

Dan Ferry
Lead Teacher

Dan has been a primary school teacher for 4 years. Since January 2015, Dan has worked for Islington Borough as a Computing Lead, where his role involves showing model lessons using technology and teaching coding across all primary years, writing and developing Computing plans for all year groups, devising digital strategic whole school plans, running staff meetings on the use of technology, delivering whole school assemblies and parent sessions on internet safety and working with international technology companies to enhance better opportunities for children.

Kevin Groarke
Lead Teacher

Kevin has been a teacher for 10 years. Initially trained to teach English in secondary schools, Kevin spent eight years teaching in schools in North London and Hertfordshire. He then transferred to primary education and spent 3 years at a school in Highgate, north London before leaving to further develop Lights Camera Code. Whilst working in primary education, Kevin was made a computing lead teacher for Islington, which involved one afternoon a week visiting schools in the borough helping them integrate technology into their curriculum.

Pip Bohl
Lead Teacher

Pip has been a primary school teacher for 2 years and has worked in the English and Computer Science faculties, sharing his innovative ideas and implementing meaningful tech across all subjects. Since starting the profession Pip has been influenced by the role of technology in supporting learning, as well as offering computational skills. He believes in preparing the 21st Century child for life. He has taught coding across KS1 and KS2 in enrichment clubs. Due to his role in the computing faculty, Pip has promoted the use of technology via J2Code, Cospaces, Tynker, Code.org and Microbit.
