Innovative and inspirational group piano and music lessons for Primary-aged children. Through our curriculum, children learn the essential skills for piano playing as well as learning about the wider aspects of music, theory, describing and creating.

Even though these are called keyboard lessons the classes are more piano with a strong focus on reading and understanding music. My 6yo daughter has been attending for almost a year and has the most patient teacher (Evangeline, Greenwich group). Highly recommended as a fun way to learning to play and read music- the practise videos are a great help and the progress over each term is amazing.
My son is 6 and has only been going to KeyNotes for a few weeks and he really enjoys it. He can't wait for the weekend to go and learn and enjoys showing us what notes he has learnt. He can't wait to go back after the summer.
Both of my children enjoy Keynotes immensely. I have been really proud of the way my older child has learnt, not just to play his pieces, but to experiment with music at the piano over the last year and a bit. He is now able to pick up pieces that interest him and work on them himself, which is brilliant and a great credit to Melanie's teaching. My younger child has only recently started lessons but has really enjoyed them and is confident in what she has learnt after only three sessions.
Melanie is a Secondary-trained music teacher and was Head of Music at Nonsuch High School (a girls' grammar school in Cheam), before having her own family. Through experiences with her children and their friends, it soon became apparent that there is a lack of musical learning opportunities for Primary-aged children and no viable alternative to one-to-one piano lessons, and so she set up KeyNotes Music to provide these opportunities and alternatives!
