Into the Wild

Forest school gives children hands-on experiences in the outdoors to build confidence, resilience and self-esteem as well as providing opportunities for children to learn new skills and to work collaboratively. Spending time outdoors also gives children a greater understanding of nature, the wider world and their place within it. Using our ‘outside classroom’ provides us with limitless opportunities and a calm and peaceful space in which the children can grow at their own pace.

Victoria Welsby
Forest School Leader

"I'm a qualified primary school teacher with a great love of nature so combining the two was like a dream come true. I especially enjoy delighting children with unexpected wonders of the outdoors - such as delicious snacks that we cook on the campfire." Favourite season & why? Summer! I love the long days, warm weather & spending lots of time outdoors. Spider or snake? Tricky! I don’t mind spiders but I’m not keen on big ones! If I had to choose, it would be a snake as they usually slither away once they know you’re coming! What do you do for fun? Adventure sports like surfing & skiing
