On the first Sunday of every month, you can browse the best local produce at Hall Place. 

Meet the farmers and producers, try food samples and buy everything from home-grown fruit and vegetables, through to delicious cakes, breads and cheeses. Located outside the Visitor Centre.

Hop into spring with our fun-filled Easter Garden Trail: Bunny Egg‑Olympics, running from 21 March to 12 April 2026. Explore the beautiful gardens at Hall Place while taking part in energetic bunny‑themed challenges and solving trail‑sheet activities along the way. 

Throughout the grounds, you’ll find 10 colourful A3 posters, each featuring a different bunny competing in a sport — including football, gymnastics and more. Each poster invites children to take part in a simple movement challenge inspired by the sport shown on the poster.  

Your trail sheet contains linked questions, drawings and puzzles that correlate with the bunnies and posters you’ll discover around the gardens.  

Find the posters hidden in the gardens and complete your trail sheet. 

Includes a small sweet prize. Pick up your trail sheet from the Visitor Centre – follow signage. Pay on the day

Location: Located outside in the gardens. Pick up your trail sheet from the Visitors Centre

Who would like this: Family groups with children aged 3-10 years. Advise one trail sheet per child as small sweet prize is not easily shared. Families with under 3’s welcome at their own discretion. The younger the child, the more teamwork required.

What to bring: Please dress for the weather and wear appropriate shoes for walking the site over uneven ground and grass areas. Ask for a free pencil if you need one.

How does it work: There are 10 trail posters in the grounds at Hall Place. The trail sheet asks questions related to the posters. Find the trail posters to complete your trail sheet. 

You will need a pencil to do this, so ask for one if you need it.  Our trails are designed for all the family to participate, but you only need buy the trail sheet for each child taking part. The prize is usually a small sweet, but please ask before purchasing the trail.

Accessibility & Facilities: All trail sheets are bagged up with the prize so that you do not need to return to a crowded queue to get it. There may be a queue for the trails at peak times.  If you are able, ask one person to queue so that the rest of the group don’t get bored.  This event is held on uneven parkland. Have a HOOT at Jambs Owls Experience getting to know all the live owls including the opportunity to hold one! Lovely friendly team are on hand to answer all your questions and make your visit something to remember.

When? Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday!

Location: Located in the Glass House by the main stone get to Hall Place.

Who would like this: Anyone interested in owls and wildlife. Suitable for adults and children. 

What to bring:  Glasshouse is located in the gardens please dress for the weather.

How does it work:  £4 adults, £3 children. No need to book, turn up on the day

Accessibility & Facilities: This event is located in the glasshouse in the gardens via concrete paths.  Wheelchair accessible. Original miniatures, paintings & cards for sale in a variety of media by local artists. Entry is free, so come along and have a look.
