We are the Museum and Archives for the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
Greenwich Heritage Centre is housed in the old ordnance factory and store at the historic Royal Arsenal, Woolwich. The museum tells stories about the Royal Borough through objects, paintings, prints, drawings, maps, photographs and deeds.
Collection highlights include some truly weird and wonderful - exotic birds, a Victorian egg whisk, a baby alligator and even an elephant’s foot. Come and explore your family and local history through special exhibitions and events, and enjoy free access to our Search Room.
