Forestille

On my very first day at Forrestille, I arrived frazzled and apologetic because I sas 2mins late. Ali was very kind and helped me settle my babies in. About 30mins later another mum arrived and apologised and explained that her child had a meltdown as they were leaving the house. I expected anything from: it's OK to wow, how did you deal with that. I might have even expected some judgement. But then Ali said: 'Are YOU ok??' And I nearly cried on that mum's behalf! No-one has ever asked me how a meltdown has left ME feeling and I was well and truly stunned. That was when I knew this class would be worth it. Ali is a master of leading children's groups. She is so full of energy, great ideas and enough practical expertise to make her ideas come to life. It is a joy to experience. I have 1yr old triplets, a 3yr old and a 5yr old and Ali welcome us ALL with open arms. The activities keep all of them engaged and interested. From collecting leaves and making magic wands to testing how edible the 'sand' really is... Ali is always available and willing to offer an extra pair of hands and doesn't get upset if kids move on to something else-in fact she encourages it! It is a safe space for children to explore and learn, but more importantly, it is a safe space for parents to play with our children and grow in confidence in our parenting abilities. It has helped me realise that I AM a good mum. In a world where parents are constantly battered by judgements and expectations, we need a group to do just that. Getting a chance to play outdoors is of course an added bonus!

My little one and I love this group. It's super friendly and relaxed (much more so than indoor playgroups). Alison plans something fun and messy for the kids each week and then there might be a story or songs followed by free play. The area is great for little ones to have wee adventures in the wooded area and find little dens to play in. We look forward to this group each week and would recommend it to anyone wanting to get outside to play.

Absolutely awesome classes. I can highly recommend Forestille to you all.
