Flutes & Toots

Becky's classes are great! Well thought out and perfectly targeted for a young audience :) highly recommended!

This is a fun and educational music based group. Becky is a skilled and knowledgeable music teacher who puts a lot of thought into these classes, to good effect. Singing, variety of instruments (that change), basic rhythm work, guided movements and freestyle dancing, parachute and bubbles! I think there's the perfect balance of new fresh things with different genres and musical stories every fortnight, and a regular structure that children engage well with, building up participation as each child is ready. Becky is friendly and knows people's names, her ukulele playing brightens up nursery rhymes and her flute is mesmerising. There's space for adults to make friends, yet the focus is the children developing musical awareness and enjoyment. The format works well across the preschool age group, as babies can absorb everything while children of different ages participate at different levels, with great role modeling. Flutes and Toots was a real highlight in our week, thanks so much Becky!

We have been going to Flutes & Toots for quite a while now and it’s a lovely group. Becky plays live music which is a change to other classes we have been to where the music is played on CD’s. The sessions are varied each week and we get to bang on drums and tambourines! My little boy get lots of pleasure having a nice dance and he loves the bubbles! Would highly recommend.
