Flourishing Childhood is a professional consultancy for parents in sleep, behaviour, food issues and crying & tantrums in children. Rebecca leads workshops, nurture sessions, child observation sessions and parenting consultations. She also runs a parent and child group which is inspired by alternate education philosophies, with a focus on not only the children but the parent/carers. It is more than a play group, it is a holistic and nurturing group with the intention to make life with children happier, easier and more connected.

My two year old and I so look forward to Tuesday mornings. We joined Rebecca ‘s group from the start . It is unique to any other playgroup I know. I love calming atmosphere, carefully selected wooden toys, the parents craft, the rhythm it takes, with songs, circles, eating together & the story time puppet show ! Rebecca is such a warming gentle person always happy to offer her experience or knowledge in parenting . The mothers I’ve met are all lovely like minded & it’s a safe non judgmental place we have a laugh & can discuss parenting in a alternative way.
We have been going to the Golden Spirals playgroup for nearly six month now and it’s become the highlight of my my 2.5-year-old’s week. He is excited to go to the library (where the group is held) and to see his friends. He enjoys singing the songs we have learnt and repeats them at home. He always seems completely mesmerised by the puppet show at the end. Rebecca creates a fun and nurturing environment for children and their parents with every session and the thought and attention she puts into it clearly shows. Highly recommended!
This group is the highlight of our week, Rebecca sets up the room beautifully and facilitates such a warm and open group. I can see my little one loves the routine from playing with the toys, dancing in a circle to eating apples and the puppet show. She talks about things she learns in the session throughout the week! This is a place for the mums as well! We do a weekly craft session while the kids play and most importantly I don’t feel I have to hover over my little one. The mums are also all lovely and non judgemental.
