Description

Join Dr Christopher Warleigh-Lack, Curator of Collections and Interiors at Osborne, for a fascinating 45-minute talk exploring the life and work of Emma Gaggiotti.

Emma Gaggiotti was a professional painter working at a time when women artists were challenging traditional ideas about both art and gender. Discover Gaggiotti’s career, explore the wider role of women artists in the 19th century, and uncover the important part played by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in supporting and championing female artistic talent.

This event is part of Members’ Appreciation Week. To book, please email [email protected]. Please note spaces are limited and will be on a first come, first served basis. Booking is required.

We will be inviting voluntary donations following the talk, with all contributions gratefully received.
