In the 20th century London became a fashion powerhouse. This was largely due to an influx of Jewish immigrants. In the West End, the story is one of couturiers, boutiques and department stores. We will discover the sites of these businesses and hear about how they operated and the ways in which the designers behind them managed to both transcend stereotypes and defy expectations.
