Description

The bloody fate of King Harold is one of the most well-known in English history, but what about the rest of his family? Harold's wife and children survived the battles of 1066 but, with their family ousted by the conquering Normans, what became of them?

This is their captivating story; exiled and friendless, they travelled to distant lands and forged unlikely alliances.

Discover how, ultimately, the descendants of the House of Godwinson became woven into British and European history.

This talk will take place in the Discovery centre and lasts around one hour, including time for questions.

We'll be inside for the tour, but the Discovery Centre can be cold, so please wear suitable footwear and dress for the weather.

Bookings for this event open on this page on Monday 20 April.
