This Easter holiday, join us for a fun-filled adventure quest! Follow the Easter trail, hunt for eggs and answer questions along the way to earn a delicious chocolate reward.

The quest runs every day throughout the school holidays and is just £2 per child for both members and non-members. This is in addition to your admission ticket. There's no need to book in advance – simply pay and join the quest when you arrive.

Join us at Gainsborough Old Hall on Saturday 4 April to make your very own pop-up chick card.

By using card, scissors, and glue, you can create an a pop up chick card for Easter. You can keep this lovely card or gift it to your friends or family.

This workshop is free to attend with no booking required. Drop in to the Education Room and you can drop-in between 10am - 2pm.

This does not include entry to Gainsborough Old Hall. If you would like to explore the Old Hall, you can book your admission online in advance.

Entry is first come first served so there might be queues. Each build experience lasts 15 minutes, but you’re welcome to come back as many times as you like.

The Big Brick Build At Stonehenge

Step back into early medieval Kent this Easter weekend as the Thegns of Mercia bring history to life at Reculver Towers and Roman Fort.

Join members of the Thegns of Mercia living history society as they demonstrate traditional crafts and skills from the 6th and 7th centuries. See coin striking, jewellery casting and weapons displays up close, and discover how the people of early medieval Kent lived, worked, and created. It’s a chance to learn more about the bright and bustling culture of an age that was anything but “dark”.

Reculver's North Tower will be open throughout the event, giving you the opportunity to see inside and climb to the top for stunning coastal views over Reculver and the surrounding landscape.

And our friendly volunteers will be delivering short talks across the day, sharing stories from Reculver’s long and fascinating past, from its Roman origins to its Anglo‑Saxon monastery and the centuries that followed.
