Description

'The history of York is the history of England' said King George VI. Join Blue Badge Guide, Sarah Milne-Day on a stroll through 2,000 years of history. Find out how each invader and settler made their mark, from the Romans, via the Vikings, Normans and Medieval craftsmen, to Georgian grandeur and Victorian industry, all culminating in the bustling and vibrant city we see today.

This tour is graded as moderate access, as it is a walking tour in crowded, uneven streets, with few places to stop and rest.

Bookings will open on Wednesday 15 July at 9am.
