Enjoy a festive tour of the beautiful timber-framed Boscobel House, once hiding place of Charles II.
Hear stories from Christmases past come to life and learn how the different inhabitants would have celebrated and how Cromwell banned Christmas. You can hide in a priest hole and take a stroll up to the 200-year-old Oak, a direct descendant of the tree where Charles II himself hid.
Mulled wine and mince pies will be served as part of the event. This event is graded as moderate access as it will involve some walking with limited places to rest and will include uneven stairs and terrain on the route. Unfortunately, due to the small entrance ways and narrow staircases on site, this tour is not suitable for wheelchair users or people with limited mobility.
