Join us in the heart of Leicestershire at Kirby Muxloe Castle, the fortified mansion of Lord Hastings, seized in 1483 by Richard III. Enjoy exclusive access to the Castle and hear Mathew Morris (BA MA ACIfA) of the University of Leicester’s Archaeology Department talk about the unearthing of Richard III’s body in a town centre car park and the work of identifying this lost King.

This event has been graded as moderate access. There will be seating provided in the indoor space, but outdoor areas may include some uneven terrain and steps.

Join our collections team in the Archaeological Collections Store and discover a treasure trove of unique and special objects spanning 2,000 years of England's history. These are objects not normally on display, and form around a third of our total stored collection.

This year the tours will focus on objects from Roman Wroxeter, Hill Hall and Thetford Priory.

Tours are free and can be booked when you arrive at Wrest Park.
