Description

Castlerigg is among the earliest British circles, raised around 3,000 BC during the Neolithic period. It's perhaps the most atmospheric and dramatically sited of all British stone circles, with panoramic views and the mountains of Helvellyn and High Seat as a backdrop.

Join Properties Historian Dr Alastair Oswald as he takes you on journey of discovery at this intriguing site.

This tour is graded as moderate access, as it covers undulating ground with limited places to sit down.
