Description

In the 20th century London became a fashion powerhouse, largely due to an influx of Jewish immigrants. In the East End, the story is one of new arrivals establishing new lives and building careers while making the most of the job opportunities on offer. We will cover sites of worship, markets, education and community buildings, as well as fashion production and retail.

This tour is graded as moderate access, due to it being a walking tour covering 1.5-2 miles over busy and uneven streets, with few places to stop and rest. Aldgate Underground Station does not have step-free access. For more information, please see https://tfl.gov.uk/transport-accessibility.
