English Heritage in partnership with the National Garden Scheme is delighted to be offering you the chance to experience the beautiful gardens of Audley End in the early evening when the site is closed to the public. Meet the Head Gardener and members of their team for a tour of the gardens.  Get an insight into how the team develop and enhance these wonderful spaces, carefully managed to ensure how they are presented today reflects their rich history.  You will have the opportunity to ask questions of the team as you experience the gardens at this very special event.

What sort of work went into putting on the lavish banquets at Apsley House?Peek behind the gilded doors to meet the our reenactors and learn more about the essential staff who kept everything running in a busy 19th century stately house.

Join us to build and paint your very own Bat Box. Bats use a variety of landscapes and habitats to live in throughout the year, and bats need a diverse range of environments to live in whilst they forage.

Please meet outside the Cafe at 11am. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
