Description

Embark on an immersive tour that begins with a brief introduction and presentation on the illustrious career of William Twiss. Discover the significant modifications he made to Dover Castle and its defences, shaping the iconic structure we see today.

During the tour, you'll visit the Keep roof, where cannons were once mounted, offering a fantastic vantage point to view the Western Heights and the Grand Shaft – two more of Twiss' remarkable works.

We'll conclude the walk by guiding you towards Dynamo, where you can explore the fascinating Napoleonic era tunnels if you haven't already.

This event has been graded as 'moderate' acess to the length of the tour, and navvigting uneven/staircases.

Don't miss this unique opportunity to delve into the history and engineering marvels of Dover Castle!
