Description

Take part in an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour at JW Evans Silver Factory, one of the most complete surviving historic factories in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter.

Led by Senior Collections Conservator Bethan Stanley and Collections Conservator Wendy Richardson, this tour will delve into the history of the site and the meticulous work involved in preserving it. There will even be the opportunity to have a go at some silver-cleaning yourself!

Please note that unfortunately the tour is not suitable for those with poor mobility due to the uneven floors, narrow walkways and steep stairs across the building. For this reason, this event is graded as challenging access.
