Description

Join Shunyata Improvisation Group at Gibside for a musical workshop inspired by blossom.

The musical workshop will explore themes of impermanence, reflecting upon the joy of blooming and its passing and the connections of this natural cycle to musical improvisation.

Participants are welcome to bring any acoustic instruments or to use percussion and selected instruments provided.

Shunyata will create a friendly space in a gazebo in the Walled Garden where people can feel comfortable to try out new approaches while making music together. Everyone is welcome to participate including those with no musical experience.

Participants will be invited to play in several improvisations and be attentive to their interventions, the contributions of others and the ambient sounds of the garden.
