Our monthly family yoga class is here for a Christmas special!

Saturday 14th December 10-11 am

Family yoga is a wonderful opportunity to come together in a unique atmosphere of fun and relaxation. Providing the tools to learn postures, meditation and relaxation, it is a fantastic bonding experience and gives the whole family the skills to bring yoga into their lives.

Beginning with a powerful opening mandala sequence, aspects of acro and partner yoga are introduced to build a strong core of trust and bonding. Yoga games are interwoven into the session to work on concentration and skills followed by meditation and relaxation. Where else can you embrace your fun side, laugh, learn and then relax together as a family?

Yoga helps promote a healthy lifestyle; bending and stretching the body, building strength, concentration and focus as well as developing the mind. It teaches techniques to calm and relax as well as build confidence. In family classes you can all benefit from these aspects together, helping create stronger relationships as well as better overall health for everyone.

£12 per family for up to 5 people, £2 for each additional person

Christmas Family Yoga

Baby Yoga uses standard yoga postures adapted specifically for babies. It also incorporates postures and stretches for the parent and an opportunity to learn to relax with your baby - Diddly Oms believe that both of you can benefit through yoga together.

Aside from simply developing physical milestones it ensures balance is created within the body, flexibility is increased in the spine and joints, blood flow is enhanced and the digestive system improved. Yoga also runs in harmony with the nervous system to improve coordination, align hormones, enhance communication, contribute to brain development and improve sleep patterns. A baby has a hundred billion neurons within its body that are waiting to be stimulated, we just need to help them!

You don't need to have any experience of yoga to enjoy Baby Yoga together.

Baby Yoga, Horsforth

Children's yoga allows your little one to embrace their fun side, learn to believe in themselves and believe in their abilities. As they grow, many become more aware of their bodies, more self conscious and can sometimes lose that sense of letting go. Yoga teaches skills to be able to calm the mind, introduces meditation and gives space to really switch off.

 
Classes are focused on a range of postures to build strength, increase flexibility, refine balance and work on confidence, done so through storytelling, games, dance and music. Aspects of acro-yoga and balance are also combined to create an energetic yet calming environment helping to alleviate stress and anxiety.​ They can also help battle obesity and promote better overall health for your child.

At this age the concept of calm and relaxation can also seem quite daunting to some. Equipping your child with these skills can help the brain develop and give the basis for a solid foundation for life.

Concentration increases as children develop meaning postures can be held for longer and more technical terminology can be used. Kids yoga really begins to bridge the gap to adult classes, creating real mini yogis but still focusing on a core of fun, games, music and imagination!


Children's Yoga starts from when your little one begins school and can be continued right up until high school. As children begin school their lives change, bringing with it greater independence, confidence and more of their own identity. At Diddly Oms we feel this is the stage where they are ready to step out on their own and embrace yoga more independently, practicing for the first time with their peers and not with parents. 


Classes are booked on a half term basis working out at £7 per session, discounts for siblings are also available.

Children's Yoga

Stretch with Stories is the perfect introduction for your child to yoga. Every week a different story is used to capture their imaginations and allow them to start to stretch with simple yoga postures. This mixed age class lets your little one move and develop at their own pace whilst joining together as a group. Stretches are demonstrated with different levels allowing older babies and children to do their own version of a posture suitable for their skills and abilities.

Each book is told using songs, stretches, nursery rhymes and yoga postures to work on building strength, increasing flexibility, introducing balance work and keeping your little ones moving in a uniquely energetic yet calming environment.

At this age the concept of relaxation is often lost as little ones don't always want to stay still or be quiet! But alongside movement and active engagement this class gently introduces the idea of breath work and down time. This might be something that they simply observe to begin with but the more they are exposed to it, the more natural it will be to them.

Stretch with Stories

Toddlers are bounding balls full of life and energy, eager to learn, explore and enjoy every day. Toddler Yoga brings parents and children together to exercise and have fun, harnessing their energy and using it to build on strength, flexibility and coordination running in parallel with relaxation and down time.

The life of a toddler is often so busy and exciting that the concept of calm and relaxation can seem quite daunting to some. Equipping your diddly one with these skills can help the brain develop and give the basis for a solid foundation for life.

Growing into a toddler brings with it the opportunity to run, jump, climb, throw, catch and really physically use the body. Their flexibility is often amazing to an adult and so working with this physical development and wellbeing brings fantastic opportunities for this age. Language and listening skills are also stimulated in classes through the use of story telling, singing and rhymes, bringing together parents and children for a wonderfully unique bonding experience.

Toddler Yoga

Diddly Oms offers a range of yoga classes from 6 weeks post birth with postnatal and baby yoga right through to 11 years old with children's yoga. Our approach is centred around you and your little one’s well-being and believe that you can both benefit from yoga together.

Rest, restore and relax with postnatal yoga classes, gently easing into life with your new baby. Then come along and practice yoga together with your baby, bringing the joys of yoga to your little one. Continue yoga with them as they grow into toddlers and pre-schoolers then let them flourish with kids yoga after school as they find independence in their skills.
